Meet Our Senior General Manager

Massimiliano Manella

Massimiliano’s hospitality journey began in Italy, where he studied at hospitality school before earning his Master’s degree in Gastronomic Science from the University of Parma in 2007.

In 2012, Massimiliano moved to the UK to refine his English, a decision that would define the next chapter of his career. His British journey began with Gordon Ramsay. He progressed through the ranks to become General Manager of London House in Battersea, mastering the art of leading prestigious dining establishments.

A Philosophy of Purposeful Hospitality

Massimiliano believes hospitality is a vocation, not merely a career. His leadership philosophy centres on creating experiences where every guest feels seen, valued, and welcomed.

He leads through trust, ownership, and continuous growth, reminding his team that the Braywood experience goes far beyond serving food. His mentorship has shaped numerous careers, including Thomas Gammella’s progression from Restaurant Manager to General Manager of The Braywood.

Leading WSH Restaurants' Expansion

Introduced to WSH Restaurants by Alessandro Fasoli, Massimiliano embraced the opportunity to leave London’s skyline for Somerset’s mesmerising landscapes, joining The Clockspire as General Manager. His exceptional leadership led to his promotion to Senior General Manager with the opening of The Braywood in November 2024, overseeing multiple sites, including The Clockspire and The Braywood. In April 2025, The Boxford was added to his portfolio, with 74 Charlotte Street launching in October 2025, a testament to his strategic vision and operational excellence.
